Getting Connected
- Simply open up your web browser and head to newmodem.optusnet.com.au.
- Log in with your OptusNet username and password. If you can't find these details, call us on 1300 300 693.
- Follow the prompts to activate your new modem.
Unplug everything exept for the power, Hold down the reset button for about 10 seconds then let go. Do not plug anything back in. Wait until the modem is fully rebooted and see if the WIFI light is turn on. If no it could be a faulty modem -> contact optus support for a replacement.

- Your modem must be switched on and connected to your computer (wired or wirelessly)

Re: pls explain optus modem lightsAt the rear, green means that there is an active connection and orange indicates speed (100 MHz). WPS should remain off if you don't use WPS to connect a wireless device; DSL is active only for an ADSL or FTTN connection.
The WPS button is only needed if you want to connect another WPS device in painlessly. The WiFi On/Off button just stops the modem broadcasting any Wifi (Everything remains on though). Just click it back on to start transmitting WiFi again - not really sure why you would need it these days.
