LED backlit 4K UHD TVs (includingSamsung's new QLED line) are technically really still LCD TVs witha higher resolution and are taking the name 4K UHD or 4KUltra HD. 4K LCD TV is a more appropriate name. While OLED TVs arestill more expensive than good 4K LED TVs, the gap hasnarrowed.

The ideal TV viewing distance 4K Ultra HDTVs is between about 1 and 1.5 times the diagonal width ofthe screen, which works out to the following distances: A 40''TV– You should sit between 3.5 and 5 feet awayfrom the screen. A 43'' TV– You should sitbetween 3.5 and 5.5 feet away from the screen.

Measure from the bottom to the top of thetelevision.
- Screen Size. Measure diagonally the screen size of the TV fromone bottom corner to the opposite top corner excluding thebezel.

Let's not beat around the bush: 3D TV isdead. It's sad news for those who are 3D fans, butit's time to face facts. No 3D TVs are being made. In fact,most manufacturers stopped making them in 2016.
LG and Sony, the last two major TV makers tosupport the 3D feature in their TVs, will stopdoing so in 2017. None of their sets, not even high-endmodels such as their new OLED TVs, will be able toshow 3D movies and TV shows. Samsung dropped3D support in 2016; Vizio hasn't offered it since2013.
To watch a 3D Movie, you'd need a 3DTV or a computer with 3D capable video-card and/or3D capable monitor, and not everybody has one ofthose. With a few simple tricks however, modern 3D moviescan be viewed on a regular TV or computer sans 3Dcapable display.
