With DirecTV service, you can download the DirecTV app. You can watch live TV, shows you have recorded already, the On-Demand latest movies and TV shows. Moreover, you can even schedule your DVR recordings without paying extra charges for equipment or any additional fees.
Use your device to get your favorite entertainment apps all in one place. Your AT&T TVSM device includes preloaded apps like HBO MaxTM, NETFLIX, Pandora, and more. But if you don't see what you want, you can add your own. Choose from video, music, and gaming apps.
How to Install DirecTV App on Firestick?
- Open your firestick device.
- Connect it to a Wi-Fi network.
- Click on the search bar on the home screen.
- Search for the DirecTV app.
- From the search results, select the DirecTV app.
- Click on get, the DirecTV app will start to download on your firestick device.
AT&T and DIRECTV are owned by the same company, but they represent different services. DIRECTV is a satellite-only TV service, while AT&T represents other arms of the company such as AT&T fiber internet, home phone and AT&T TV.

Your account is only good for your home location… one home location, period. There are exceptions for using your service in your RV, but not at a second location. If you have two locations, you're supposed to have two accounts.
If you're not now a DirecTV Now customer, you can someday sign up for AT&T TV Now. Nor was there mention of AT&T WatchTV, which offers “35+ channels of live TV” for $15 a month — it's included for free in some AT&T unlimited data plans — and is available now.
Users can only stream DirecTV Now on two devices at once, so you should guard your password closely. Or at least make sure you kid isn't sharing it with friends at college.
The DirecTV app is available on Amazon Firestick and can be downloaded from the Amazon App store. Once the app is installed, you can either sign up if you have no account registered on the DirecTV service or log in to your account if you already have one.
With your remote control:
- Press Home to open the Samsung Smart Hub.

Since DirecTV Now offers a free trial and doesn't require a contract, I'd recommend checking that out first. If it meets your needs, you could save a lot of money; if not, you can always cancel and switch over to the full satellite subscription. You are incorrect in one of your assertions regarding satellite TV.
DirecTV does not offer a channel on Roku for satellite subscribers. You can use your DirecTV satellite subscription credentials to activate or authenticate individual streaming channels, but there is no centralized channel to view your DirecTV service on a Roku device.

- Press Home on your remote.
- Scroll to and select Streaming Channels.
- Enter AT&T TV in the search box, or scroll through the channels to AT&T TV.
- Select Buy to install AT&T TV. If prompted, enter your Roku PIN.

AT&T TV NOW is compatible with Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, Web Browsers, iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Samsung Smart TV, and Android TV.
You need an Apple TV to view content from the DirecTV app to your TV. This will not work with an HDMI cable because Directv does not support Airplay. The mobile DirecTV app is known to block the Lightning-to-HDMI adapter for mirroring, as well as regular AirPlay (mobile→Wi-Fi→Apple TV→TV).
- Press the Smart Hub button from your remote.
- Select Apps.
- Search for the app you want to install by selecting Magnifying glass icon.
- Type the Name of the application you want to install. Then select Done.
- Select Download.
- Once the download completes, select Open to use your new app.
