Cheap is the big parking lot of the railway station of Bruges, on walking distance of the city centre. Parking rate : € 0.70/hour, daily maximum € 3.50, including free public transport to the city centre.FlixBus operates a bus from Calais to Bruges once daily. Tickets cost 8€ - 11€ and the journey takes 1h 50m. Alternatively, you can take a train from Calais to Bruges via Lille Europe, Lille Flandres, and Courtrai / Kortrijk in around 3h 41m.
The main christmas market in Bruges is in Grote Markt, with its pretty, wooden chalets surrounding a glittering ice rink, where skaters swish and stumble in the shadow of the 83m-high belfry. If you can face the 366 steps to the bells at the top, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the chocolate-box city below.

Whitby offers a pay and display area along the North Promenade, free 1-hour disc parking (e.g. Skinner Street), and free 3-hour disc parking areas that are shared with residential permit holders. Some streets are for permits holders only. These are Whitby's orange and blue parking zones.
Most people put their parking disc on the right side of the dashboard. If you look around a bit, you may notice that there are also pink discs available. These are not legal for use with the pink side up. Your parking disc must be the same blue color as the traffic signs.
It is worth noting, the city does free up after 6.30pm and on Sundays with free parking widely available in the council owned parking spaces.

Arriving at 10:02 in a parking disc zone of one hour maximum parking time invokes a departure time of 11:30, and hence an effective time interval of eighty-eight minutes for free parking after arrival.

If you don't have a clock disc it is acceptable to prominently display a hand written note with your arrival time in the vehicle. The maximum duration of stay in each disc zone is clearly indicated on the signs displayed on the street where you have parked.The Cork City Council initiative provides for two hours of free parking in the mornings and free late-night parking on selected days in the city's two publicly-owned multi-storey car parks. It also provides for free parking at the city's Black Ash park and ride facility every Saturday for the next six weeks.
In the Blue Zone every parked vehicle must show a parking disc. On weekdays (Monday through Saturday) vehicles may be parked for one hour between 8:00 and 11:30 as well as between 13:30 and 18:00. Between 19:00 and 7:59 a parking disc does not need to be shown provided that the vehicle enters traffic before 08:00.
Much of the on-street parking in Harrogate is free of charge or time restrictions between the hours of 6pm and 8am or similar. This means if you are here for a night out you can leave the car worry free.
