A booking reference is a unique code used by the airline to identify your reservation on their systems. It can be found on your booking confirmation email and e-ticket. It may appear under different names such as 'booking reference', 'reservation reference', 'booking code', or 'PNR' (Passenger Name Record).
If you only want to check the status of your flight, choose the flight status link on the airline website. Enter the flight number, or your departure and destination cities, to confirm the status of your flight.
On a paper ticket, the airline code and ticket number is located at the bottom center of the ticket.
The PNR number may be found in your ticket itself. If more than one ticket is booked at the same time, they will all have the same PNR number. This number corresponds to bookings, not individual passengers. You may check your PNR status on the go through the Cleartrip app or website.
A booking confirmation in shipping is a document that is issued by the carrier or freight forwarder to the shipper, confirming a booking request. This document also acts as a confirmation of the shipment details that the shipper submitted, requested container type and quantity, as well as vessel space.
If you remember flight number/time and date just go to airport with ID- airline will retrieve your ticket and give you boarding pass. You can call airline call centre, give your details and ask them to resend confirmation. Check your SMS, most airlines also send an SMS along with email.
As soon as you have completed the booking process the confirmation page will appear. This page shows all of your reservation details, including the booking number and your Booking.com PIN code, so you can access your confirmation online at 'My Booking.com' which you can find here.

PNR is the abbreviation of Passenger Name Record and it is a digital certificate allowing passengers to do online check-in or manage their bookings in a short time. Also used as booking number, Passenger Name Record is a code with 6 alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers are used together).
