Usually, all mammals have hair on the skin. It's one of their biological characteristics. Some of the mammals are monkeys, lions, panda, platypus, cats. Some of the mammals even have very beautiful lustrous hair such as Siberian cats, Angora Rabbit.
Birds do not have any hair or fur to keep them warm; instead, they have feathers. Feathers keep birds warm and also help insulate them from the water. Feathers are important for keeping birds warm and dry but they also have some other important jobs.
The only animals that can truly fly are birds, insects, and bats. Other animals manage to travel through the air by gliding from great heights or leaping from the depths.
Beak, also called Bill, stiff, projecting oral structure of certain animals. Beaks are present in a few invertebrates (e.g., cephalopods and some insects), some fishes and mammals, and all birds and turtles. Many dinosaurs were beaked. The term bill is preferred for the beak of a bird, platypus, or dinosaur.
Downy feathers as well as semiplume feathers are able to trap pockets of air close to the bird's body to help keep it warm. How much body heat they keep can be adjusted by arranging their feathers to trap more or less air.
Feathers are unique in the animal kingdom. All birds have them, but only birds have them. Plenty of animals are covered in fur or scales, but birds and their feathers stand alone. Even other animals capable of flight, such as bats, don't have feathers.

The huia had the most extreme sexual bill dimorphism of any known bird species. Sadly this made them of even greater interest to collectors. Both Māori and Europeans valued and hunted the huia. The bird was regarded by Māori as tapu, and the wearing of its skin or feathers was reserved for people of high status.
Baby loons can't be called nestlings for more than a few hours, because as soon as they dry off, they leave the nest for good! They can swim by themselves for a little while, but when they get chilled, they climb onto one of their parents' backs and snuggle in under a wing.
