Check your notifications
- In any browser, open YouTube.
- At the top of the page, click the Notification bell to check notifications.
- Select the notification you're interested in to view the video or comment.
In case notifications are still not showing on your Android, make sure to clear the cache and data from apps and give them permissions again. Follow these instructions to clear cache and data from an Android app: Open Settings > Apps > All apps (App manager or Manage apps). Select an app from the app list.
Open your phone's Settings app. Notifications. Under "Lock screen," tap Notifications on lock screen or On lock screen. Choose Don't show notifications.
If you experience problems with push notifications on a Samsung device running Android 7, please perform the following steps: Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Power saving modeâ€, and turn off “Power saving mode†(or adjust the MID saving mode to enable background data usage)
Go to Settings > Sound & Notification > App Notifications. Select the app, and make sure that Notifications are turned on and set to Normal. Make sure that Do Not Disturb is turned off.
Scroll down and long-press the “Settings†widget, then place it on your home screen. You'll get a list of features that the Settings shortcut can access. Tap “Notification Log.†Tap the widget and scroll through your past notifications.
Select the “Apps & Notifications†option from the menu. Next, tap “Notifications.†At the top of the screen, select “Notification History.†Lastly, toggle the switch on at the top of the screen for “Use Notification History.â€
To reset app preferences on your Android device, follow the steps:
- Open device Settings.
- Navigate to Apps and notifications or Application Manager or Apps depending on your device and software version.
- Tap the three dots present at the top right corner and select “Reset app preferencesâ€.
Make sure App Notifications are turned on. The exact path differs across different manufacturers but it will be something like Settings > Sound and notifications > App Notifications. Try clearing cache data from the Facebook app and Messenger app. If notifications still don't appear, try reinstalling the app.
Typically, the main causes for this TikTok notifications problem include: Misconfigured push notification settings. Weak or absent internet connection. Corrupted app files or app glitches ?
Make sure that the app supports notifications. Go to Settings > Notifications, select the app, and make sure that Allow Notifications is on. If you have notifications turned on for an app but you're not receiving alerts, you might not have Banners selected.
Turn on notifications for Android devices
- Tap More on the bottom navigation bar and select Settings.
- Tap Turn on notifications.
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap Show notifications.
From the lock screen, swipe up from the middle to see your notifications.
- You can view your notifications on your lock screen.
- Hold the grey X next to "Notification Center."
- You can also double-tap the X to clear your Notification Center.
- Swipe left on a notification to view, manage, or clear it.
YouTube will stop sending emails to your subscribers regarding the latest updates and live streams. So, YouTube has decided that its 'New YouTube video email notifications' will no longer be sent. YouTube has announced that from Thursday, 13th August 2020, this feature will be gone.
In the Settings app on your iPhone, go to > YouTube > Notifications. Toggle Allow Notifications off and back on, ensuring that you have Sounds enabled after. In the YouTube app on your iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications. Scroll down and ensure that "Disable sound & vibrations" isn't turned on.
Try and see if going to her comment and then clicking on the three dots next to it shows the option to unmute.
Android TV
- Sign in to your account.
- From the Home screen, scroll down to the Apps row.
- Select YouTube.
- Scroll down and select Settings.
- Select Restricted Mode or Safety Mode.
- Select Enabled or Disabled.
Click on the 'Videos' tab, this will show you the video details. Click on 'Advanced'. Scroll down to the bottom of this screen, and you'll see the following option: 'Publish to the Subscription feed and allow notifications to subscribers'.
Personalized notifications - You'll get notifications for some uploads, Shorts, and live streams. The definition of "personalized" differs by user. YouTube uses various signals to decide when to send you notifications.
To see your notification history, just come back:
- Open the Settings app, then tap "Apps & Notifications."
- Tap "Notifications."
- Tap "Notification History."
