Dio has 2 stands. Jonathan's stand which is based off of hermit purple and has divination, and that is bound to the body. But since dio control's jonathan's body, he can also use the hermit purple-type stand.
Described by DIO as the "weakest" Stand, Survivor travels across wet surfaces and stimulates the human limbic system with a tiny electric potential of 0.07 Volts and an otherwise negligible current, which is stated to increase an individual's anger or fighting spirit.

1 The World Over Heaven
While technically non-canon, the World Over Heaven is still the most powerful Stand in the entire Jojo's Bizarre Adventure franchise.Kars, named after the new wave band The Cars, is the leader of the Pillar Men in Battle Tendency, the second part of the original manga series that the fighting game is based on. Rohan Kishibe, a manga artist, appears in part 4, Diamond is Unbreakable.
In order to grow bigger, he did not hesitate to eat even bugs. In spite of this, he is very cowardly, giving away the names of his allies in order to escape Jotaro's wrath and having a strong fear of being hit or hurt in general.
He takes inspiration from classical techniques in paintings and sculptures, the color manipulation of Paul Gauguin, Western pop culture, and fashion to create an engaging world and characters.
It's confirmed the Bible is a jojo reference - Album on Imgur.
1 REO SpeedwagonThe Speedwagon Foundation as well as the Family namesake is a direct reference to the band REO Speedwagon. This family is mentioned in every JoJo series. The character and founder of the said organization are Robert E. O. Speedwagon, and his entire name is a reference.
With his ultra-powerful stand, Star Platinum, generally it is more based on the tarot card than a musical reference. This is a reference to its development as a stand, which eventually was not only incredibly powerful but defeated the main villain of part 3.
JoJo Fans act similar to furcutioners/redditors, in which repeat the same 3 jokes they know, or "JoJokes" as the scientific name. They respect others as long as they like "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure," the anime of origin of these annoying fans.
His having two Stands reflects his split personality. The "Jojo" in the title refers to each generation's protagonist having their name abbreviated to form Jo-Jo: Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata, Giorno Giovanna and Jolyene Cujoh.
Polnareff is a surname. Notable people with the surname include: Jean Pierre Polnareff, fictional character from the Japanese manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Michel Polnareff (born 1944), French singer-songwriter.
After meeting Jolyne, they begin to grow a sense of individuality throughout the story. When Foo Fighters dies, Jolyne meets their ghost for a short time and the former mass of plankton happily contemplates their spirit form that confirms that they were truly alive and sentient.
While never actually explained, the most likely reason their stands are the same type is their macabre family connection. Jotaro shares a bloodline with the body Dio currenlty posesses (through the world's first vampire to human head transplant).
The issue is that the character in the scene is 17 years old at the time, while the legal smoking age in Japan is 20 years old. In order to have its fictional character adhere to Japanese law, Jotaro's cigarette was censored before airing.
a nickname for Joseph, Jonathan, etc. (rare) a nickname for Joanne, Johanna, etc.
Next on our list is Josuke Higashikata from Jojolion, the current protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Stands fundamentally differ because they're actually a separate partner that will assist the user in battle or, at times, even independently handle the matter. Hamon is just an energy force that moves through the user, but Stands literally give them another ally or shield in battle.
Wamuu was born about 10,000 BC ago, Wamuu is a member of the race known as the Pillar Men. After Kars' rampage and mass slaughter of the Pillar Men, Wamuu, along with Santana, would be taken up as an infant and trained by Kars and Esidisi. From part 4, stands are usually named after rock bands, albums and songs, e.g. King Crimson for Diavolo, part 5's main antagonist, and Scary monsters for part 7's antagonist Dio.
As an Integrated Stand, Nirvana is weared by Dario. Nirvana looks like a white cocoon-coat with just holes for the eyes. There's a black cross on his chest.
