DC's long-rumored comic book relaunch is no longer in the works. Batman is the most licensed of DC characters and made the company $494 million in retail sales in 2013. Second, movie sales. AT&T—now the parent company of WarnerMedia and its divisions, including DC Comics (previously known as DC Entertainment), HBO, Turner, and Warner Bros. AT&T's debt following the $85.4 billion WarnerMedia acquisition stands at $164 billion.
5G is the name of the new initiative in 2020 from DC. It is the next "reboot" of DC as crafted by Dan DiDio. A comic book store makes money by purchasing comic books and and reselling them for a profit. You must know the fair market prices for rare comic books and you must buy them for less than the going prices in order to resell them for a profit. Additionally, a comic book store can also make money by selling online.
For example, consider Walking Dead #1 which was published in 2003 and is currently valued at over $2,000 today. This makes investing in comic books a potentially lucrative investment choice. And smart comic book investors can make money off of comic books, but only if they treat it like any other serious investment.
