Customers can register with SBI's SMS and mobile banking online or by visiting their office. To register the mobile you need to send the message REG < Account Number > to 09223488888. Once registered, you'll have access to services like: Balance Enquiry.
To register an account for SMS alerts:
- Your mobile number should be registered with SBI.
- In the Internet banking site, click the SMS Alerts link in the Requests tab.
- You are displayed a list of your accounts.
- Select the account for which you wish to enable SMS alerts and click OK.
Here's how the process works:
- Dial *99*99*1# from your phone.
- You will get a dialogue box asking you to enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- When you enter the Aadhaar number, it will ask you to either confirm the number or change it.
- It will then show the bank it is linked to.
Additional layer of security with OTP
- Step 1: Click on 'Request' on left hand navigation bar.
- Step 2: Under the Request section, click on 'IVR OTP'
- Step 3: Select the SBI Credit Card, for which you need the OTP.
- Step 4: Your registered mobile number and e-mail ID will be prepopulated.

With Simply SMS service, you can get the details of your SBI Card account on your registered mobile number.
- You can start using Simply SMS service by sending an SMS to 5676791 from your registered mobile phone.
- Information that you can receive instantly using Simply SMS, include: Balance enquiry.

- Swipe your card and from the menu choose the 'Registration' option.
- Enter your ATM PIN.
- Select mobile number registration option.
- Enter the mobile number you want to register.

Login to our SBI Card Mobile App, follow these steps:
- Click on menu tab that is on the top left hand side of the app screen.
- Click on yellow colored edit icon next to mobile number.
- Go to quick contact & Click on yellow colored edit icon next to mobile number.
- Generate OTP.
- Enter the OTP received on old registered number.

Tiny can be converted to Tiny special where limit is of 2 lakhs which is 1 lakh for Tiny account. One thing can be done is convert your Customer type to normal CIF from Financial Inclusion and then open a normal Savings account in that CIF and then close your Tiny account.

Yes! It is possible to apply for two or more debit cards for a single account in SBI. But, the card type must be different, and you have to pay the applicable maintenance charges of all cards.
