Big Mac Sauce is not Thousand Island dressing. Thousand Island dressing requires tomatoes, which isn't actually an ingredient in authentic Big Mac Sauce.
Instead, the sauce gets its peachy-pink color from a dash of paprika, and signature creamy tang from a combination of mayo, mustard, and relish.

After we published our goofy little post, McDonald's re-reached out to us, apologizing for the lack of clarity, and stating without qualification, “McDonald's is removing Hot Mustard sauce from our lineup due to its slow moving performance.”
The best sandwich/burger at McDonald's is the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. Take everything good I said about the Quarter Pounder with Cheese over in fourth place and double it. The result is a satisfyingly meaty, salty, and cheesy burger that is surprisingly filling.
A Quarter Pounder typically comes with slivered onions and pickles so when they rang up my Quarter Pounder as "No Mustard, No Ketchup, Add Shred Lettuce, Add Mac Sauce," I figured I'd have onions and pickles, but sadly no. The leaf lettuce threw me for a bit of a loop.
