Traditional American education has its perks, but so does a city education in NYC. CUNY prepares you for a fruitful life in a city. Our campus is NYC rather than a gated community. SUNY education seems to me a more "comfortable" one.

Cornell is a private university, so these schools are considered to be contract schools. They get funding from SUNY but are run by Cornell.

NYU will NEVER be an Ivy League school but not because it is not an amazing and powerful university. It's because the Ivy League name has nothing to do with the status of the University, but has to do with the fact that these schools are part of the sports conference/league known as the Ivy League.
