In any average college at Bangalore I heard around 5–7 lakh cost excluding management quota. It actually varies from college to college. In my case ,my college being a state government funded engineering college the annual fees is 61,800 for government funded branches and 76,800 for self financed .

Apple debuted at the IIT-Kharagpur campus on Friday, December 1, and recruited five students for its Bengaluru facility, where they will be a part of Apple's data analytics team. This is the first phase of placements at IIT-Kharagpur and the second one will be in January.
Google is visiting IIT Roorkee for domestic roles and has been given a Day 1 slot. IIT (BHU), IIT Guwahati and IIT Delhi also confirmed that Google would be calling. “Earlier there were multiple tests and the process was long. Now the process is shorter,” said a member of the IIT Guwahati placement team.

Though i am not aware about the package it offers to the students, but yes, Google is a regular customer on BITS, Pilani campus and there is always a tussle between Google, Yahoo, Cisco, Microsoft etc to grab the day 1 of the placement season on the campus coz everybody wants to grab the talent on the campus.
