K-pop girl group Blackpink are the biggest pop band in the world, according to the latest ranking by Bloomberg. This is the first time a South Korean band have topped the news agency's Pop Star Power Rankings since they were launched in April this year. Another K-pop group, the seven-member boy band BTS, are ranked No.
BTS is arguably *the* most popular K-pop group around the globe, and with good reason. Their accolades include: Reaching number one on iTunes in more than 65 countries, have held first place on Billboard's Social 50 chart for 114 weeks in a row, and absolutely crushed a U.S. stadium tour.
Blackpink are really sweet and have nice personalities. Yes, they do seem like they are rude because of things they've done. But of course people make mistakes. Yes they are actually very rude.
Jimin received massive 12,568,794 upvotes and was crowned "The King of Kpop." The Bangtan member crowned the title last year after he received 1,275,292 votes. Thus making his bag the title two years in a row.
Blackpink did surpass BTS when it comes to YouTube viewsBecause while BTS has slightly more of a following on social media, Blackpink has got a significantly larger following on the video platform — 51.3 million subscribers as opposed to BTS' 38.6 million.
Topping the list are Brit group the Spice Girls who have sold a whopping 85 million records worldwide. Officially only together for eight years (between 1994 and 2000 and then again from 2007 to 2008) their debut single Wannabe is thought to be the biggest selling single by a girl group shifting eight million copies.
NO. TWICE is not more popular and successful than BLACKPINK. First Twice is number one in terms of album sales collectively compare to Blackpink is because obviously they have more albums and they have been active for a longer time than Blackpink so it's not fair to compare their album sales collectively.

It's a title the one-time “anti-Beatles” haven't relinquished since. Not only have the Stones been the greatest rock band in the world for more than 30 years, but they have been a functioning rock 'n' roll unit for more than 40, the longest run in history.
In a recent one-week period, songs by The Beatles were streamed 550,485,535 times compared to 1.42 million streams for BTS. While this shows BTS are bigger today, it also indicates The Beatles continue to enjoy enduring popularity despite not releasing any new music since breaking up in 1970.

BTS is, without a doubt, the biggest band in the world right now.
Years later, the Korean boyband has surpassed both these groups and accomplished so much more that we see another comparison start to rise — the Beatles. In 2019, BTS even paid homage to the popular band in the Stephen Colbert show. Many have dubbed the Korean septet as the next Beatles.
