The meg is not that violent and doesn't have much swearing but some scenes aren't suitable for young audiences. It isn't that violent but some scenes may be unsuitable for some people.

Parents Strongly Cautioned
The Warner Bros flick cost a reported $150million to make and has a runtime just shy of two hours, finishing at 113 minutes. It has been awarded a 12A rating in the UK meaning hardcore fans shouldn't expect the Megalodon to be excessively violent during its reign of terror.
The film is rated PG-13 for “action/peril, bloody images and some language.” The action/peril part should be obvious—the characters spend most of their time trying to not get eaten by the shark. There's no sex or nudity at all in the movie.
Jaws is an okay movie for kids 13 and up. It has quite a bit of blood but its about the standard amount for a shark attack. There is a disturbing scene that involves a man being eaten and shaken around on a boat, along with some other images that may make kids under 13 feel uncomfortable.
The Meg 2 Is HappeningThe Meg 2 has been in the works since October 2018, essentially right after the original movie released. By early 2019, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed that a script was in the works, and the sequel gained momentum in October 2020, when Ben Wheatley was announced as The Meg 2 director.

Yet for a movie aiming to please as many people as possible, it's odd that the one main black character, one of the researchers named DJ (Page Kennedy), is portrayed in way that's almost as prehistoric as the meg.
Jonas Taylor is the main protagonist of the Meg Saga. He is the husband of Terry Tanaka-Taylor and the father of Danielle "Dani" Taylor and David Taylor. He was once the husband of Maggie Taylor before she left him and was eventually killed by the meg.
Filming. Principal photography on the film began on October 13, 2016, in West Auckland, New Zealand. Filming ended on January 4, 2017, in Sanya City of Hainan, China.

Hero Jonas Taylor (Statham) ultimately did in the killer shark, running his submarine across the creature's massive midsection to cut it open. As blood spews out, it attracts shivers of hungry sharks that rip the meg to death in a feeding frenzy.
